When I was little and got asked the question “What do you want to be when you grow up?” my answer was usually either A) a policeman, B) Spider-Man or C) taller.
1 out of 3 ain't bad. #thwip In my teens I decided I wanted to work in an office just so I could have my own supply of paper clips. At no point, that I can remember anyway, did I actually make the conscious decision that I wanted to be an artist. Having said that I've always drawn, and that creative passion stayed with me all through school and into my adult life. I use the term adult loosely - I’m still very much a big kid. Born and raised in Birmingham, I now live in Cambridgeshire and work as an illustrator for Cambridge University. In my spare time, I work on personal projects aswell as creating sketch cards for trading card companies including Topps, RRParks Cards, Upper Deck, and Unstoppable Cards. I do accept private commissions though usually have a waiting list so if you have something in mind, please get in touch via the Contact page to check availability. |
